The Woodsmoor symbol is a combined abstraction of an open book and a passageway at the Woodland House. The philosophy and intent of Woodsmoor rests in that symbol. As an open book, we are not limiting the exploration of craft within the living space. The only restraints lie within the precepts of simple, clear design. As a passageway, craft should function within and relate to the nature of its surroundings, reflecting on the past and moving into the future. We are focused on providing an open and moving experience in craft through the creation of new works and the presentation of the creations in a genuine space.
